EMDR - Full Training
You can't go back and change the beginning, but we can start where we are and change the ending - C.S. Lewis

A cutting edge, professional training in how to work with people whom have trauma and behaviour related issues.

Universal Access to Revolutionary Mental Health Solutions

At ITS, we believe in inclusivity—that everyone has the right to mental health resources, regardless of their background. Our commitment to self-mastery and self-regulation isn't just theoretical; it's a cornerstone of our training philosophy, making you not just a therapist, but a catalyst for broad-spectrum mental health empowerment.

The beauty of EMDR is that you are working with neural memory networks and receiving new organic information during the process.
EMDR activates the bilateral stimulation of the brain (activating both hemispheres) through the use of eye movements, or tapping. When this is applied alongside the sequenced 8 phases, people are able to process the negative cognitions, intense emotions and physical sensations which were embedded from the traumatic event.

Welcome to your first module of EMDR - this weekend is full of everything you need to propel your practice and career to the next level.
A streamlined training to support your transition and consolidate your knowledge of previous practice and personal experience. You will be taught how to apply EMDR in a safe, strategic and informed way.
The delivery of the course ensures you will have the confidence to integrate the 8 phases of this world-renowned psychological processor into your current discipline.
Initially we examine the model of EMDR and the sequence of the 8 phases, how these work, and how to distinguish who is appropriate and who is not appropriate for the safe use of this modality.
Safety to practice the application of EMDR is imperative for the wellbeing of the people you work with and for the success of your practice. You are taken through an assessment phase and educated about how to decipher assessment and use the results to inform EMDR practice and create relief through resourcing.
Each phase is experiential, which means we all get to participate in hands on practicing with each other, within a guided, fun, safe learning environment.

Stabilisation and resourcing is embedded throughout the whole weekend. You will learn multiple techniques, which ones are appropriate to use and in which sequence, depending on the presented symptoms .

Neuroscience is key to understanding how the people you work with experience life, trauma and treatment. We take you through a practical theoretical framework with experiential exercises to consolidate your knowledge and ground theory to practice.
Memory is an integral aspect to processing trauma. Traumatic memories are misfiled during the traumatic experience. You will learn about memory processing and how EMDR supports people in overcoming and processing these experiences. We will explore the role of the Hippocampus and how conscious memory can become unavailable during dissociation.

And finally you will get multiple EMDR practices in throughout the weekend. You will be working in small groups and experience the delivery of EMDR and receive EMDR.
